Nicholas R. Brown
Nick’s practice includes work in municipal law, civil litigation, corporate law, criminal law, domestic relations, real estate, military/veteran law, landlord-tenant issues, estate planning, and consumer law, among other general advice.
In addition to our office, Nick serves as the Assist Law Director for the City of Mentor, Ohio and as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve’s Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corp. His responsibilities are to provide city officials and military commanders with legal advice and counsel on various government and legal matters.
Prior to his time with us, Nick served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. He represented the State in criminal matters to result in the best interest of the community’s safety.
Prior to his legal career, Nick served his country in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (Airborne) as a psychological operations soldier. His service included four (4) years in active duty, two (2) years in reserve duty (while in law school), and two (2) tours of duty in Afghanistan.
Nick is originally from Geneva, Ohio. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Kent State University (’08), his M.B.A. from the Jack Welch Management Institute (’14), and his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (’16).
Nick is the proud husband of Sarah, father of Will, Parker Jane (“PJ”), and Hunter, and owner (“father”) of Loki. He and his family enjoy staying busy and getting through the woes of being Cleveland sports fans. Nick and his family currently reside in Willoughby, Ohio and enjoy spending time in their community.
